I am sure you have seen F1 and F1B, ever wondered what that was all about? That is the generation of dog that you are getting. Below is a description of each label and an explanation of what they mean.

P
- Purebred (100% Purebred)

F1
- 50% Purebred Parent 1
- 50% Purebred Parent 2
- These dogs are the result of the breeding of two purebred dogs. Half of each dog is the motherβs breed, and the other half is the fatherβs breed.

F1B
- 75% Purebred Parent 1
- 25% Purebred Parent 2
- These are F1 backcrossed dogs. They result from the mating of an F1 parent and a P parent. This is used to intensify traits found in the P parentβs breed.

F2
- 50% Purebred Parent 1
- 50% Purebred Parent 2
- F2 dogs are the offsets resulting from the mating of two F1 hybrids.

F2B
- 75% Purebred Parent 1
- 25% Purebred Parent 2
- These are second-generation backcrossed dogs. Each F2b dog is the offset of an F1 parent and an F1 backcrossed (F1b) parent.

- Offsets coming from the mating of two F2 hybrid parents.
