Congratulations on the purchase of your new puppy! We have made every effort to provide you with a happy and healthy puppy. Your puppy will be vaccinated on week 6 & 8 and de-wormed every two weeks. You’ll be given records that you can give to your veterinarian to keep your puppy healthy. All puppies are sold as Companion Pets unless otherwise discussed. To remove our animals from the rampant “backyard” breeding mentality, that in our estimation has so contributed to the decline of health and quality in many breeds, including the Bernese Mountain Dog, we do not sell to people who just want to breed their animals. We do not sell to Commercial Breeders, Puppy Mills/Mini Mills, Backyard Breeders, Brokers or Pet Shops. We do this to protect every puppy placed into permanent homes. Veterinarian checkups and vaccinations must be kept current for any warranties or guarantees to be valid. This contract is for the original buyer only. If terms and conditions are not fulfilled then this contract is null and void. Buyer agrees to ensure puppy’s health by providing good food, housing and good medical care to keep health guarantee in effect. Responsible owners/buyers will provide the puppy with routine preventive care and all immunizations and exams by a licensed veterinarian.
Arrow T Pets guarantees this puppy to be free of all communicable disease for a period of 72 hours from the date puppy is received by the owner. This gives the buyer 3 days to get the puppy vet checked by their preferred vet .We further guarantee this puppy to be free of Genetic Defects that make the puppy not suitable for the purpose of a family pet until the puppy reaches 2 years of age. Buyer understands that the following slight genetic defects are not considered serious or life threatening and therefore are not covered: umbilical/inguinal hernia, under-bite or overbite, undescended testicles, demodex mange, injuries fleas, ticks or ear mites, kennel cough, intestinal worms and parasites, scabies, eye entropion, cherry eye, and allergies. Breeder will not be responsible for Parvo, Distemper or Corona Virus after 48 hours of the sale; these diseases are highly contagious and can be contacted immediately after leaving the breeder. Arrow T Pets only recognizes serious defects to be those conditioned & defined by a competent veterinarian of our choosing which fall under the Serious Defect category. Buyer understands that replacement option is only valid when health problems are attributed to a hereditary problem and not due to accident, contagious or other illness outside of our control or responsibility as breeders. Buyer understands that any and all guarantees expire two years from the date of purchase. If, in the unlikely event the puppy dies within this 2 year time period due to congenital defects, a statement from your veterinarian is required before any action will be taken by the breeder. If the cause is not known, an autopsy will be required (cost of the autopsy will not be covered by breeder). For a diagnosis of parasites such as Coccidiosis or Giardia do not render a puppy unhealthy. We do not guarantee against Parvo, Corona, Distemper, Coccidiosis or Giardia after 72 hours of purchase. Be sure to see your vet as soon as possible.
We carefully plan our pairings and have never produced a dog with congenital defects. Bernese Mountain Dogs and Golden Retrievers are healthy dogs, but a dormant inherited condition/congenital defect may show up. If your vet discovers such a condition you must return him/her to Arrow T Pets with AKC Registration papers (if purebred). You must obtain a written statement by your veterinarian on office stationery, signed by him/her for our records, stating health risk and a description of the symptoms supporting his/her opinion to validate your replacement. This will be followed by an appointment with the breeder’s vet to confirm the same diagnosis. If the vets do not agree then the contract will be void. Any vet bills incurred to diagnose or repair a problem will be the responsibility of the buyer unless arrangements have been made or approved prior to treatment. Failure to do this will cause the contract to be null and void. If a replacement puppy is deemed to have been warranted and validated, the following terms apply:
This written agreement is a binding contract between the buyer and seller concerning the sale and health conditions or loss of this puppy.
