Standard Golden Doodles

“Standard” goldendoodles are a cross between a poodle and a golden retriever and are best for those looking for a larger size companion. They can range in size from 50-90 lbs. and average anywhere from 20-24 inches in height. Standard goldendoodles are a good option for those who live in homes with yards, or where there is opportunity for walks or exercise each day. They come in coats of straight, wavy or curly hair with color choices of creams, black, browns, reds and/or multi. On the one hand they make ideal guide dogs or pets for the elderly because of their larger stature, intelligence and obedience. But on the other hand, their lovable, docile personalities and average energy level creates a balance of playfulness and docility that is perfect for families with smaller children. However, with the standard goldendoodles average lifespan of 10-15 years, they make enduring companions for any age.
